    After more adrenalin fuelled FIA European Truck Racing Championship battles at Circuit Zolder on Sunday it was Jochen Hahn and Antonio Albacete who celebrated hard-fought triumphs.
    Under sunny skies, a large Belgian crowd watched Hahn conduct a masterclass of truck racing to dominate the third race of the weekend, while Albacete made up for some disappointment in missing out on victory in yesterday’s opening encounter to grab his second win of 2019.

  • WRC – Ogier triumphs in Turkey and is back into title contention

    Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia managed to throw the FIA World Rally Championship title race wide open again after claiming a priceless maiden victory in Rally Turkey on Sunday.

    Needing to secure maximum points to realistically continue his challenge for a seventh successive world title, the Citroën driver benefited from the electrical misfortune that plagued series leader Ott Tänak and an accident that cost Thierry Neuville valuable minutes on Saturday.

    By picking up an additional three bonus points on the final Power Stage, Ogier now heads to the remaining three rounds of this year’s championship

    Yvan Muller catapulted himself into the heart of the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO title battle with his second victory at WTCR Race of China in a dramatic Race 3.

    The World Touring Car legend led from the DHL Pole Position to the chequered flag ahead of fellow Lynk & Co driver and nephew Yann Ehrlacher, while title rivals Norbert Michelisz and Esteban Guerrieri were among the many drivers not to make the finish.   • ETRC – Hahn and Reinert claim tight wins in Zolder thrillers

    Jochen Hahn and Rene Reinert celebrated a win each in a dramatic day of action in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship at Circuit Zolder today.
    The German duo ensured it was another fruitful day for IVECO as they enjoyed a double win after some excellent FIA ETRC action under the Belgian sun.
    Hahn’s race one win was backed up by sixth place in a twice re-started race two. This ensured that the reigning champion maintains a comfortable points advantage over his rivals.

  • EHSRC: Introducing the XXXI Rally Elba Storico

    The 31stRally Elba Storico takes place on the island of Elba, the largest island in the Tuscan Archipelago, with rally based in town of Capoliveri.

    On Thursday 19 September the competitors will tackle two special stages at night, covering a total of 20.99 km.  The first stage is at Nisporto-Cavo (13.75km) with the first car due at 19h59 and this is followed by Capolivieri Innamorata (7.24km) at 21h47 before regrouping for the overnight stop.

  • GTWT – Gran Turismo World Tour takes over Hangar-7

    Created by Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz, a home to an impressive collection of aircraft and racing cars, for two days Hangar-7 will host the best 51 competitors from the online series representing 18 different countries. They will compete against each other in the FIA-certified Gran Turismo Championships, fighting for individual glory in the Nations Cup as well as teaming up in the Manufacturer Series.

    So far this season, both competitions have produced spectacular racing and multiple different winners. In the Nations Cup the season-opener in Paris was won by Chile’s Nicolas Rubilar with last-year’s overall winner, Brazilian Igor Fraga

    Category 1: Parisi pulls ahead of Graham

    Antonio Parisi and Giuseppe D’Angelo (Porsche 911S) took their third win of the 2019 season in the first of the two Italian rounds and the resulting 20 points allowed them to open up a small gap to their nearest championship challengers, Ernie and Karen Graham (Ford Escort Twin Cam).  The Ford Escort suffered from brake issues on day one of the Rally Alpi Orientali but the British couple fought back on day two to finish third in class.

    Top Fuel – qualifying decides the title

    In Top Fuel the championship was decided in qualifying when Mäkelä gained the points she needed to claim her second title in a row by qualifying for the race.

    In the first round of eliminations, the fastest qualifier Maja Udtian lost traction after the start and was defeated by Liam Jones, who was eighth in qualifying. The driver from the UK advanced to the final with a bye run as Patrik Pers was unable to come back in time after severe damage suffered in the first round.
