A small but select group of NSW hillclimbers travelled north to Mt Cotton for the QLD Championships run on the 5th June 2011.
Unfortunately for NSW interests Peter Gumley finished as runner up but it has to be said that Brett Hayward was on another planet and thoroughly deserved the win, setting a new outright record in the process.
Long time Queensland stalwart Alan McConnell finished third, Doug Barry fourth.
